06 YAMAHA 25 HARD STARTING Cold

I have an 06 Yamaha 25 2-stroke that is a bugger to start when cold, or been sitting for a week or two. After it starts, and runs awhile, it starts
instantly. You can fish all day and almost point at the starter button and it fires up and runs like a race horse.
The carbs have been stripped and cleaned thoroughly, new plugs, new hose and bulb and only use non-eth fuel.
Is this a trait of these engines ? It idles and runs perfect after the initial hard to start. I'm almost ashamed to launch in public, almost...
Any pointers from anyone?

No such thing as a 2 stroke like that being hard to start cold.-----I would have the battery load tested.------Review your starting procedure.------Check out the operation of the " prime starter " unit on the carburetor.

I take it you don't have any suggestions on this problem. The battery is hot and other than a choke, there is no prime starter unit on these
carburators. Starts instantly after the initial start up, which is a bugger....
