Guys been running this boat 4 years with no issues whatsoever. Good strong motor, but a little hard on fuel. Just recently it's being very ornery to start, almost like its flooding itself out. Once I get it running and hammer down, it sputters a bit, then takes off. On plane, it runs like a top. I'm running ethanol free fuel with Startron. Haven't changed plugs since I've had the rig, so starting there. Any suggestions as what the problem might be? Appreciate any help.

Yeah; use less "choke" when starting.

The system uses an 'enrichment valve' that does exactly what you are describing: it floods the motor with gas!

Try this": Be sure the idle up lever is WAY up for they like lots of throttle to start. Then, start cranking her BEFORE you hit the "choke", and let go of it soon as you hear her 'take'. If she doesn't start running, repeat the above.
