midsection on engine is smut black

the engine will run rich when its cold....you may have a temp sensor bad.....how is the engine running..whats top rpms?...and is it smoking thru exhaust when hot?

It runs great at low and high speed just was wondered about smut on midsection it would make you think it's too rich
