    can you get replacement keys

    just got an 85 johnson 70 hp,as a backup and or parts,but no ignition key,previous owner can't find them,do I need to have it rekeyed,my two Johnson keys from my other boats do not work in the ignition,would like to see if it runs,or if it is gonna be a parts motor,any help would be great

    how can you identify if your ouboard has a charging unit,alternator

    I have an 83 johnson 70 hp,and she is a hard starter,do these motors have some type of alternator,to help charge the battery while it is running,pretty sure mine doesnt,have to run a battery charger every couple of days down to the dock,if there is one can someone post a pic of what it might...
