    Yamaha LZ150 HPDI Runs only when Key held in the start position.

    Will only run with starter engaged,yds shows good fuel pressure both pumps,will run for about 10 seconds every time.Replaced power head,probably missed something somewhere.Motor was still running before just had bad piston,seems like a lot of people have the same problem

    Me too,yds shows everything in spec and pumps doing good.Compression all good,this thing is killing me.Installed new power head,everything worked before,just had bad cylinder.

    TPS

    04 Yamaha 200 hpdi starts and dies .Unplug TPS and it will stay running.I have 5 volts from ECU.TPS sat at .5 and will slowly go to 3.7 at wot but will start and die Everytime.Pressure on both fuel pumps good.HELP!

    Update,unplugged the TPS and motor starts and runs.Reset TPS to factory specs,motor starts and dies so TPS may be the problem

    Hpdi 200 only runs with key in start position,

    Hpdi starts and dies unless you keep key in start position

    Mine acts the same with remote key,starts and dies instantly every time
