    would this happen to be a for a 70 hp Johnson because my issue is when i turn it nothing when i engage choke nothing but if i turn the key with the choke engaged it will blow a fuse i had to change the ignition switch due to a stuck key

    No the key did not break of inside. I just had to wiggle it because the connection was loose and when i took it out. I found out it was broken connection. So i ordered a new one and replaced it i thought i was following the wiring but maybe i did it wrong and that's why i asked about a diagram...

    I did not take photos and I bought the replacement by model and serial number to had the key stuck in the old one and when I replaced the plb wire tried Todo it one wire at a time

    So should I try a new switch and see if that works. When I turn the key on there is nothing, no clicking or anything. When I push in for the choke and turn the key the fuse blows and its not the glass one I changed it because I thought it was taking on the motor. I can't seem to find a diagram...

    I just noticed my power wire from Cylenoid to the started is melted thknkthat may be the problem

    I changed the ignition in my boat due to key stuck in it and a piece was broke. The issue is when i turn the key there is nothing but when I push the key in to choke it it blows a fuse could that be wires on wrong. its a 1980 Johnson 70 hp. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Like I said the pic was not my motor I took of internet mine is sitting on the top i was just using it as a reference mine is the same though not that far apart its together just doesn't seem to sit all the way in and pulls apart again real easy. will it make it not start being loose it starts...

    Not sure what you are saying. i just asked a simple question if the fuse is loose connection. Will it prevent it from starting? some times it will other times it wont battery full charge

    This is not my motor but for got to take a pic of it. Were the fuse is with the blue circle. It seems to be real loose on my motor. My question is will this issue make it not start at times and start fine other times.

    K this may be the wrong spot to ask but i have a 70hp Johnson and one of the wires going from solenoid the fuse seems to be loose and not fully connected will this cause issues when starting like no power to motor

    I have a 1980 70hp Johnson and my throttle control box a piece of the plastic inside was broke. Was wondering if anyone has a picture of the inside. The reason i took it apart was my ignition switch. The key was stuck, and i believe it is a bad ignition switch due to it ran i shut it down tryed...

    K i just looked over the pics i have of it and the top carb is almost close the mid carb is almost open n the bottom is open full i uploaded the pics to this page i would just like to say ty for showing were the clamp screw is i appreciate it
