    On my 3 liter 2005 Mercruiser engine I have had an issue with the alarm sounding for no apparent reason. Can be under laod just crusing or towing skier and the alarm will sound and may continue for 15-20 bseconds and then it may repeat several minutes later or even earlier at times. No issues...

    Been that way for me plenty of times…just need to slow down sometimes instead of rushing. Like I said “lesson learned”.

Did something stupid: removed the gear shift assembly from engine to access the slave solenoid and when I reinstalled the assembly I (somehow??) failed to put the gear shift cable back onto the stud which goes behind the assist. I took it off yesterday and after installing it...

    while running my 2005 Mercruiser 3.0 in neutral I'm getting an intermittent sound that sounds like a low whining noise. I think its the fan belt, a bearing or something else. Any ideas what this might be. I plan to go on the water tomorow so Im hoping for a quick answer from someone. Thanks...
