    1984 200hp black max wont shift

    So my 1984 200 black max that ive had for 30 years suddenly wont shift into reverse? I take good care of it or it wouldnt of lasted so long. The wierd thing is it runs like a bat outa hell in forward and goes in neutral fine. I disconnected the shift cables and tried to shift it into reverse...

    how do i determine what kind of lower unit i have on a 1984 200hp merc outboard, a camshift1, camshift2, or easy shift? serial # 6591844 thank you in advance for your help :confused:
