    Gearcase Alignment

    Please Help! 2009 Mercury 25 hp 4-stroke. Welder removed gears from gearcase to weld on replacement skeg. After reinstalling gears, there appears to be an alignment problem (won't shift into forward or reverse). Is there something I need to do to ensure alignment? Thanks in advance for your help.
