    Replaced Lower unit on 115 w/90 different gear ratio. Lost speed, gained rpm's

    Anyone have any suggestions on what size prop I should go to? The current prop I have numbers are 48-72760-23 and I have it on a 18 Grady White.     Water in lower unit. Is this a total rebuild?

    I put the boat in the water today and when in gear I heard a slight clanging nose. Pulled the plug on the lower unit to discover about 10 oz. of water and gray oil with very little metal shavings. Do I need to a total rebuild? Can I do it myself?:confused: Thanks in advance Jeff
