    I have a mercy 9.8 series 110 the serial number on it is 3006183. All web sites I've been to has no record of this number. Also are the tops interchangeable with these motors. It may be a smaller h.p. with a 9.8 top on it. Just a thought..can anybody help...thanks..

    I have a 9.8 mercy. Starts and idels perfect. But has no power. A three h.p. could out run it. Not sure of the year. The serial number on the side I can find no record of. Has the thunderbolt igingtion.

    Selling My 8 Horse

    I was thinking of selling my 96 model 8 hp.. starts 1st pull everytime. it looks as good as it runs. it was on my boat when I bought it. i'm not sure of its value.not looking to get rich on it, but i'm not going to give it away either. any ideas what a fair asking price would be?

    was trying to check and clean the fuel filter today. but couldnt get it apart. does it turn or just pops apart? or does it come apart at all.just replace the whole thing.doesnt look like it would take much to break it.thats what i dont want to do...would be just one more thing to buy...:rolleyes:

    Does anyone know the mix ratio for my engine? It's a 97 model.Also where do I find the model number?:o
