    Mercury 110 9.8hp 2 stroke

    My throttle butterfly doesn't open fully, it only opens about 30% of fully open. The plastic throttle arm shaft runs against the advance/retard eccentric, and as you twist the throttle the carby opens and the timing advances, as it should. Shouldn't the butterfly be fully open ?

    Low compression

    Hey guys, just bought a Yamaha 4hp outboard in supposedly "running" condition. It will not start, has a good spark, tried Aerostart, wont even fire. Compession tester shows around 40 psi when I'm pulling the starter cord by hand. I know this is too low, I am a retired mechanic and know how...
