    This little guy is stuck in forward gear and sometimes I can get it into neutral but never reverse. I got the gear case taken apart down to the pinion gear but the pinion nut or bolt has a washer that looks like they used a punch to bend the washer so you can't take it out again. How the heck do...

    Finding the right tool for gear case 1984 4.5

    I have a 1984 mercury 4.5 and something is binding in the rear case to where it's stuck in forward. Trying to find the 4 pin tool for the lock nut but I can't find the right size anywhere. I'm measuring the ID of the gear case tube at 55mm. Any link would be appreciated.

    Need help to start 1984 4.5hp

    New to the forum. I just got a1984 mercury 4.5hp. I changed the broken water pump impeller and made sure it has spark using a spark tester. Tried starting it with a drill and the carb is just leaking on the bottom. Im unsure how to remove this carb off with the choke assembly right in the way...
