VRO sytem

I have a 1992 evinrude 150. Serial number VJ150EXENC that had the VRO system removed.
I want to put it back on the engine but wanted to hear from u guys about the system.
It was working fine but the tech took boat to when I first bought it said I needed to remove.
It’s just a pain to mix the oil to gas and is so much easier to just keep the oil tank full.
Suggestions????
 
It's a common belief that the system was bad and should be deleted. I however disagree, especially with a built in fuel tank. Over time you may end up with a blend of unknown ratio. Now if you're running a 2 or 3 cylinder engine with portable tanks, the correct fuel mixture is simple to maintain.

A new OEM VRO will last 30 years with non ethanol fuel & quality oil.
Be sure to go thru the whole system from anti-syphon valve to the engine & oil tank/hose.

Could u help me with one more thing. I looked at the engine today and it appeared that whomever disconnected the VRO system, left the hoses and stuff hooked up which is good. But I do not see the old harness that came from the oil tank in the engine compartment. What does the harness that runs from the tank plug into the engine or better yer how do I find that harness on the engine so I can hook my new pump up to?
