Honda 8hp BFP8 starter circuit 20A fuse location

Stupid mistake, hooked the motor up to the battery backwards and pretty sure i blew the electric start fuse. I just need to know where it is located. A picture would help. the motor is brand new. pull starts like a champ, just need the button to work on the electric starter.

I don't know but, since it's brand new, have you got the owner's manual? That should have fuse locations listed.
Although, if it's a remote the fuse might be in the control box.

There are two 20 amp fuses associated with the starter cable assembly listed in the link below. Items 35 but it might be outdated info.

it is covered for sure, it's just hard to tell from the diagram where it actually is

it's just hard to tell where that is. but i have not sat over the motor with this diagram so i'll go back and see if it all makes sense once i line up this picture. thank you.

Just my opinion but I believe those fuses should be very near the starter motor or in that general area under the engine cover. Apologies if I'm way off.

I guess I should apologize also, my owners manual is for a 2014 and didn’t state that fact.
