Exhaust manifold O2 sensor adaptor thread has gone - options?

Just getting my 2007 BF225 ready for the season and went to change the O2 sensor (again) and the thread in the manifold adapter/reducer has gone 😩.

I was wondering whether it's possible to get another adapter/reducer but I suspect it's going to be difficult to get the old one out. I believe the newer version (18120-ZY3-C01ZA) of the manifold doesn't need this adapter - but will it fit my engine (v: BAGJ1404700) ?

Not particularly - I'd have to take the manifold off anyway so I may as well fit the newer version which it seems has a mod to move the O2 sensor out of the path of moisture.

I need to replace the sensor about every 18 months so if the new manifold helps increase that period it will pay for itself quite quickly.
(plus I'm not sure if the adapter is available anyway!)

Ok. The attached SB #70 should provide clarification on whether you can use the newer HO2 sensor.

Thank you - but we're all set on that front as the engine had already had the ECU/Exhaust/O2 sensor upgrades before I bought it 10 years ago.

New manifold on it's way from Japan -not nearly as expensive as I thought it was going to be and if it solves the O2 sensor destruction then it will def be worth it.
