Thanks for the info.. I do hate to splice into the harness, but I was hoping I could find a "plug for each side so I could avoid cutting, ill prob just use "taps" off of the harness, instead of cutting., unless that's frowned upon?

I'm assuming that due to not getting timing advance, that's controlled by the Ignition Control Module? Are the items above designed to not use that? I assumed the one I posted above was going to allow me to bypass the Ignition Control Module. Am I mistaken?

.045 in. (1.1 mm) is what the manual says, so I imagine I set them to that. I'll check the old ones before gapping and installing the new ones.

"What gap did you set the pugs to?" missed the first response.. the plugs in the above picture were set to whatever the Service Manual recommended at the time i rebuilt the engine. I'll have to look that up, or I guess I could just measure the ones I just took out. I went and bought new plugs...

Kinda confused by what you are describing. What I have is below, Everything in red has been replaced since this issue occurred, the part in green I replaced 1.5 yrs ago, but have a new one in hand to swap and test on the water, if needed. The distributor it self was not replaced, it was removed...

Thank you for the reply. To clarify, can I check this timing while on the trailer? I will get a timing light, and learn how to use it this week..
