    2002 150hp beeps three when lowered

    Recently purchased a used boat with a 150 mercury 2002 model. It worked fine for the first half hour When I went to restart it beeps ingroups of 3. Discovered it will stop beeps if motor is raised out of water. Beep whether motor is running or not. Ideas
