    Checked compression. All cylinders are between 75-80 psi. It's a GT200. The book I have says they should be no less than 100 but other places I've read says the GT motors had lower compression. Any comments here as to whether this is good or bad for this motor? If that's low what would cause...

    My 1989 200hp Johnson lacks power. Its slow coming out of the hole and only gets to about 3500 rpm when on plane. It starts and idles well and will rev when not under load. What would cause this or what should I start checking to fix this? Thanks
