    please help 1990 Johnson 8hp J8resr hammering when in forward

    New to the forum but thanks for the help in advance.... I hit a stump and the shift rod died on a 8hp johnson j8resr.... so after taking it apart the clutch dog/shift rod was so worn out I replaced the forward gear because the lobes were worn out where the ball bearings engage the gear along...
