    It's a new motor to me and I've only tested it on the water once. It will hold position when parked and does not sink over time. It only sinks when I applied full power on the lake.     This is not my motor. Forgive me but my year is 2000 there is no such rod because mine has the hydraulic piston.

    Not as far as I can tell. Hoping someone knows. There are 5 holes but just but and bold thru both sides. The only way to move the motor up and down is the black lever on the left side. You can lift the lever and move the motor up or down and then put the lever down and it will lock the strut...
