    That motor has seen a lot of use. Mostly at lower RPM. Started 3000+ times. 29 oil change cycles. Suzi's are good motors.

    Where did you measure the voltage? There may be a poor connection somewhere between the battery and the motor.

    I have used the software. It's not a disc or download, it's a micro SD card. I found it fairly easy to install and use and it did have the correct cable for my DF20A. Instructions for set up are included.

    The motor in the video is limiting RPMs because it is in neutral, try putting it in forward gear and revving it. If it's exhibiting this problem on the water then it might be a fuel problem, are you using fresh gas?

    Suzuki DF15A over heat gradient

    With red light and limp home mode there should be warnings stored in the SDS system. It would be in the "Caution Sys. Info" area of the Service Data Window. It took me a while to find this, it's not particularly intuitive.

    Have you tried swapping in new plug wires? Done any troubleshooting that would isolate problem to spark or fueling?

    Spark plug.

    The BR5hs is a "hotter" plug, running the BR6hs could result in it eventually fouling with carbon deposits but I don't think it would cause a noticeable reduction in power. I would recommend replacing with the correct plug when it's convenient to do so.

    I'm currently using Suzuki Ecstar V7000 10W-40 in my DF20A outboard. It is a semi-synthetic, API SJ. I have a couple of Suzuki motorcycles in which I use Ecstar R9000 full synthetic 10W-40 API SL. Is there any reason I shouldn't use the motorcycle oil in the outboard if that's what I happen to...
