    new gear housing issues wont go into forward

    i put a new gear housing on and everything works great except one thing, no forward. i can start it in neutral and shift to reverse fine but when i try to go into forward nothing happens. any pointers? its a 1977 mercury 500 50hp

    Broken Bering carrier

    My seals were leaking pretty bad and broke the Bering carrier on a mercury 500 50hp motor. I found one but it’s hard to tell if it works on my motor. Serial number is 7022602 and the carrier I want to buy is 53014A 1any help would be appreciated

    Another serial number question

    I have a mercury 500 50hp. It has some issues. Getting parts would be much easier if I had some info. The serial is 7022602 it was built in Canada. Thank you for any help
