    1973 Johnson 95 not going into forward gear

    I have a 73 Johnson 9.5 and it I have a 73 Johnson 9.5 and it goes into reverse just fine but not into Forward. How can I adjust the shifter to get into forward? or am I looking into the wrong thing?
