    Throttle control housing - '74 Merc 200 - 20 HP Removal

    Has anyone had the pleasure of removing the throttle control shaft and housing from a 20 hp. Everything is loose but the shaft is too long to just take it out. Manual has nothing on the tiller handle or throttle shaft. I fear I'm stuck....does the whole head unit have to come off...

    filling lower unit on '84 20hp.

    I'm not sure which screw is the vent screw on this motor. Typically it's about half way up the lower unit but on this model there are two at the very top of the lower unit. The parts diagram shows one as a "plug" which is plastic and there is another one that is a very small one and the diagram...
