    Also, looking at adapter or end styles, it appears to be post 1979 style with the 4" long black barrel on the motor side and thin silver tongue lever side.     Im up in the air on that. The cable that runs to the throttle linkage looks to have been replaced at some point and definitely newer than cable running to transmission linkage. I think I ve found them, 33 or 3300 series. Still trying to work out 12ft., 13ft., or 14ft.

    That's what i was thinking. Thanks. I did confirm there is a metal tray that runs straight back to transom and some access section can be lifted out in front of transom.

    Looks like i may have found the culprit. Anyone know how to repair or reseat a new brass end on cable cover? I am a little apprehensive about snaking in a new cable assembly, but maybe i need to.
