    1982 Evinrude 15hp thermostat replacement

    I bought a 1982 15hp Evinrude and it runs very cold. Pulled head cover and no thermostat. Ordered thermostat, thermostat seal, seal retainer, and spring. Does the seal go around the large flange of the thermostat or just fit against it? The seal retainer resembles a chevy valve spring cup...

    1999 Evinrude 70hp shift shaft seals

    Shift rod leaking water into gear case. Does it require a complete tear down to replace seal and O-rings or can I just remove the shift rod assembly and replace?

    1999 DF70 shift shaft seals

    Removed shift shaft assembly to replace seals and O-rings. Had the unit in neutral when I worked the housing out it went into gear and now I cant get shift shaft back into lower unit. Will this require a complete tear down of lower unit?
