    9.9 eska.carb is spitting fuel out the hole on side when I prime the carb. Is this normal? I rebuilt the carburetor.

    I have a 9.9 eska every time I prime the fuel pump I get fuel coming out of the side of the carburetor I rebuilt the carburetor it's got a new seat gasket and do needle I adjusted the float bowl I don't know what the problem is. And also if anybody has a manual would be helpful

    T380a 10.5 outboard Tecumseh

    I have a 74 t380 Tecumseh outboard engine. Every time I prime the fuel pump I get fuel coming out of the hole on the side of the carburetor. Was wondering what the purpose of this hole was and why it would be causing the problem.I rebuilt the carburetor with a kit from eBay.
