    E140TLCEB removing lower unit

    I'm in the process of changing out the water pump and I'm stuck on the shift linkage. Basically, does the long shift linkage rod come down with the lower unit, or is there some kind of inner/outer sleeve that goes into the long shaft from just below the carbs?
