    regulator/rectifier replacement

    Hi. I have a 1993 Johnson 150 motor and want to change the rectifier/regulator, but noticed the purple wire is missing from the new one. Will this cause problems if not connected, or can I rig to something else? Please help me anyone. Thanks.:confused:
