    1978 evinrude 75hp tilt and trim ???

    Hello...back again. After my 1979 70hp blew a hole in the piston manifold wall, I found a 1978 that is in near factory condition, 75hp and I am happy with this motor... yet to be setup and tested, but so far... I am happy. But, it has a factory issue tilt and trim that rests between the motors...

    1985 90hp Johnson motor

    Thanks for any ideas... situation...lower unit was water logged, and drained without oiling.. May have a bit of rust. Now,,with lower unit off or on, the motor will only turn several rotations with the fly wheel and then lock up. will not turn further. Question for you pro's... What situations...

    1979 70 hp evinrude shift shaft rod (engine to the lower unit) measurement.

    Gentlemen....many thanks again for the great help in the past in removing the lower unit. Now I am ready to reassemble, and want to make sure the shifting rod is positioned approximately right. The shift rod the moves the lower unit to neutral, reverse and forward. I assume its about 21.5" in...

    Here is a tough one.... I am about the 3rd owner of this motor (and boat) and I am attempting to install a new impeller assembly. Whoa....whoever owned this motor earlier, used some kind of gasket maker to seal the lower casting to the central castings... I have removed the 5 bolts necessary...
