    1989 evinrude 40hp thermostat

    I just got a boat with a 40 h I just got a boat with a 40 horse evinrude boat runs great but idles rough for about the first 20 minutes. someone told me it was a bad thermostat??? Cause it starts spitting water from the exhaust ports immediately on start-up and a good bit of it and never gets...
