    Ok .. I found that test .. I also remember seeing a Ohm Meter test that could be done before removing the sensor .. This was a cold engine reading ..     Engine ran in the big tub then high temp warning came on .. I didn't have my temp tester handy to check head temp but I know it was pumping water .. These sensors appear to be nonexistent or $300+ if one is found .. Budget is really tight !!

    Can this sensor be by passed if defective ? Is there a simple ohm meter test I can perform ?
