    1984 johnson 90hp v4 Running issues....

    So all my coils jump a 7/16 gap except for the cylinder that looked like it didn't fire. It has spark but weaker. I got new plug wires and a coil on the way. Would a symptom of this be back firing? Getting a lot of popping

    Started it with muffs the other day and it was popping a lot and wouldn't idle. It would run for a second then pop a few times then It would shut down. Just replaced the gaskets/diaphragm in the fuel pump

    Here is the photo of the fuel pump. I just checked compression yesterday. Not sure about spark jumping gap.

    I want to say it has a diaphragm style fuel pump. I believe it is pictured in the ones I posted in imgur. VRO has been deleted on this motor

    Meant lower plug, it seems it didn't really have much wear like the rest of the plugs. I believe it has a fuel pump mounted next to carb on right side when looking at carbs I added photos of the fuel pump in the imgur post
