    "Last year I had my 1974 440&# "Last year I had my 1974 440's rebuilt. At spring launch on both engines I had to temporarily remove the engine cooling water bypass hose and plug it. If I didn't do this the pumps would suck air. Once the block was full I could reconnect and no problems...

    "I received my brand new rebui "I received my brand new rebuilt Chrysler 440's back from the rebuilder a couple of months ago. Cranked them up and had various problems most notably both impellers shredded (d55 pumps)on the s/b side and the impeller for the the coolers on the port side also...
