    Hi all, All the sites I google state that the code letters are repeated and to use your better judgement if it's a 2011 or a 1990 model. My question is for a motor I plan to travel to and buy so I can't check much else to guarantee it's a 2011. Even googling images of outboards of these ages...

    On part 13 in your diagram all I could find was 5513 and the Mitsubishi logo, On part 14 I found 689-01, On the carby all I could see without pulling things to bits was tieke japan, On the twin coil there was F6T 421 71 54

    Thank for the reply . Should I be worried that if is a mercury/mariner chart when all the cast marks on mine have yamaha on them ? The chart does fit my motors 30ml and serial number to be a 1989. The good news is the parts list goes from 1986 to 1990 without changing.
