    trying to locate a recoil star trying to locate a recoil starter for my 5.5 also a shifter handle. everyone wants an arm and a leg for them. any ideas where one can get them cheap?

    Stripped out spark plug holes

    I have an Evinrude 1961 5.5 hp I have an Evinrude 1961 5.5 hp. One of the plug holes is stripped any idea what size helicoil I need? Alos have a 40 hp Johnson 1967 with the same problem. Would appreciate any help you can give. John

    Model number

    I have a 50 hp Johnson not sur I have a 50 hp Johnson not sure of the year can't find the model number anywhere on the motor. The plate has been removed. the cowl says hydro-electric drive.On the top it says loop charged. Any ideas as to what year and model number it is?
