    25HP Mariner, Is it a Merc or Yamaha

    I just picked up a 25HP Mariner. I think it's a 1988 not sure. It has a plate marked 695S Q09240 25M. I'd like to know if the Seloc or Merc manual is the best for this motor. The fellow told me it has a problem with overheating, I'm not sure what to look for as far as possible damage. Any help...
