    So I went to the marina that did the work. They took it for a test drive with me and it did the same thing. He fiddled with the shift interruptor switch and the boat then idled properly. They didn't have one in stock, but they think that's the issue, that the switch is sticking or something...

    Yea you’re right. User error. I’m really glad I didn’t break something! Just took it for a many mile journey without issue. If I get back I’ll consider it a success lol Currently floating many miles away.

    Well, took it down to the dock with the mechanic. He ran through everything and the boat seems perfect. I guess that's what I did, I was trying to run the engine with the outdrive too high. I thought it was lower but the trim gauge reports a little less than 3/4 high even when you're outside...
