    Thanks for your reply. Yes, there is a switch and it is working perfectly. I can also see on the screen the status of the gear. I go in reverse smoothly, it registers it and into forward position.

    Yes, 3,000 full speed. 3,700 pound boat. I was advised to mount more weight in the back, so I did. All of a sudden, I am getting 4400 RPM. There was a 15x21 propeller on there.
