    I put the water muffs on it and ran it to 160 idling. Checked the head temp with my temp gun it showed 167. So apparently this temp gauge is fairly accurate. It takes seconds to hit 220 at 3/4 throttle under load. What else could be wrong. It might set off the alarm. Just have not ran it that...

    bought this on 92 ranger, very clean rig, put a electronic temp gauge coming straight off the port head to gauge, and it had a water pressure and that gauge shows 2lbs and running it shows 9lbs, (don't trust it). the temp gauge idling 160 degrees, throttle it up and it hits 220 fast!!, has new...

    do you have the gps pod, puck, round chunk of plastic? points to the front of your boat, hopefully close to the center......like a Humminbird Model AS-GR50 GPS Module Puck Antenna and that is needed for GPS on most

    yep, you need the GPS pod to keep it on direction, and there is a wat to change the speed or torque for the size of your boat, the way it "ramps up" can be found at the minn kota website

    trying to id a merc motor

    was built from swap meet parts, either a 175 block with 200 front, or 200 with 2.5 front. having a hard time adding pictures, i have more pics, and can get what ever pencil traces that would help figure this out. thanks for any info
