    I just found that part using google lens. It’s the oil pump. It has been bypassed altogether. I guessing that’s my problem???

    75 hp Mariner. Serial number faded

    The serial number has faded on the transom bracket. I was told the serial number can be found on the freeze plug. But I checked those numbers. Nothing comes up. Can anyone else help identifying this motor for ordering parts? G228129
