    Thermostat location in Mercury 1969 100 hp 1000

    I am Looking for the location of the thermostat in a 1969 Merc 1000 6 cylinder outboard. I am replacing the water pump and tried to send water up the tube and it does not flow anywhere. Motor did not squirt when run on ears and pump impellor looked OK but replacing anyway. Picture or diagram not...

    Mercury 1969 100 hp 1000 outbord help please

    Hi, I bought a 100hp merc 1000 ~1969 vintage (has red stripe) and it has no spark. There is a new rectifier and coil that was installed but still no spark. The previous owner reversed the battery leads and since then no spark. Any hints on what else to try and how to test would be greatly appreiaced
