    I don’t think I’d be able to generate a spark since the boat doesn’t even sputter. If I turn the key in the ignition, it does literally nothing. Is there a manual way to test the coil to see if I can get a spark?

    I am in Wisconsin, Milwaukee Metro area. I have not tested the coil. Is it a simple test? I am unfamiliar with how to do it.

    Hi all, I have a 1966 Starflight Evinrude outboard and just recently the coil which I believe is original quit. Do you know if I can use a part other than the OEM part? OEM is just a little expensive And there appears to be some inboard motor coils that may work although they are not an exact...
