It still works just at times it doesn't. Seems as there is a loose wire causing it to arc and sometimes not work. Pop the engine cowl off and move it around and it works.
I have noticed that my relays for tilt and trim have been arcing. Often the relays will stop working and just click. I can press on them and I have power again. I've noticed arcing so I suspect I have a wire touching. Not much slack to even pull it out and get a good look.

Just rebuilt carbs and still stalls in water going into gear. I'm going to need a compression tester now. Are the ones on Amazon or the ones at Harbor Freight ok?
So I just noticed that my tilt-trim relays are arcing here and there.... They are pressed in as far as they will go. If I hold them in and hit the buttons then I don't get any arcing. Anyone ever had this happen?
I don't have a compression tester but the tell tale hose is on the starboard side of engine. The engine ran the boat with previous owner without stalling in gear. I just replaced the throttle controller and the idle isn't the same.
