    Mercury alarm squealing

    I have a pontoon with a mercur I have a pontoon with a mercury 90 outboard. The alarm beeps properly when you turn the key. After running a long time the alarm starts a constant squeal. There is a strong stream of water. Any suggestions? Thanks. Julie
