    70hp johnson lower end

    I just got a pontoon with a 1979 johnson 70 hp el motor.i changed the gear oil in the lower end,and not really familiar with boat motors i removed the screw in the middle of the 2 plugs thinking that had something to do with filling the gear case.i since learned that screw holds the shaft...
