    Rick I think I figured out my problem

    with my out drive not going back on. Please tell me if this is correct. My thinking is the mechanic does not have the gimbal bearing all the way in (the left side is slightly out - not flush) . Wont this cause the out drive to not line up on the right side because the shaft can not go straight...

    Outdrive not going back on

    Volvo penta dp-sm model. replaced gimbal bearing but for the life of me I can not get the outdrive back on. It seems to catch about 2 inches from being totally in. What am I doing wrong? one guy said that I might have lots of grease at the end of the drive shaft and that would be stopping it...
