    90hp 4 stroke 2005-2008 interchangeablity

    So I a 2008 90hp 4 stroke with possible spun rod bearing. I have access to 2005 shortblock of the same outboard. But the 2008 is a timing chain with pass through the case and the 2005 is a timing belt with no pass through the case. from what I could find on mercury website the part numbers vary...
