    Gimbel housings

    Have a 1988 omc chevy set up with highly corroded gimbel housing. Bought a 1993 boat with omc 5.0 ford for parts. Is there an adapter plate to allow me to put my 88 vintage y pipe on the 93 gimbel housing??

    Gear ratios

    Can i use a 1993 5.0 ford omc lower unit in my 1988 5.0 chevy omc set up? Ford unit is model no. 987124, chevy is 985271. Gear ratio is the issue. Maybe change prop?
